Home Visits

Some of the residents living in Sambodhi Home still maintain contact with their natural families. Each story is different. Some are separated as a result of poverty. Families living in remote rural areas, often have no choice but to place their children in an institution. Others have abandoned their children as a result of the social stigma associated with having a child with a disability.

Where beneficial to the residents, Sambodhi Home encourages home visits. These visits have a positive effect on the mental well-being of the residents who travel home and serves to strengthen family ties. It has been observed frequently that home visits usually result in more frequent visits by family members to the home. To find out more about how you can support a home visit CLICK HERE
